    Hellie,

Welcome to the BB. It sounds like you have been through a lot already and have much to still get through. Hang in there. It gets better. I still haven’t learned to live with hypo, I tend to run at full steam on the days I feel good, but then collapse for a couple of days in total exhaustion. I believe the key is to learn to pace oneself.

I still have pain, off and on. I seem to have flare ups which makes me think I have Lupus, as the GP thinks, instead of RA, as the Rheumatologist thinks, or maybe both. I believe the key is to learn to live with it and trust in God to carry you through. I also have very dry eyes and have been diagnosed with TED. I have to see the eye doctor every couple of months. One eye is starting to bulge some. But there have been blessings also. I was very thin when all of this started and I have gained over 20 lbs, which looks good on me. I stopped smoking and eat better. I also try to walk more consistently. I am also having problems with my lungs now, but I still feel blessed.

Take care of yourself and pamper yourself some – it’s a long road!

    Mammaw
