Hi everyone,
I just wanted to ask if anyone with upcoming, or thinking of having decompression surgery is interested in keeping in touch with me in the next few weeks.
I haven’t had any time to look into posting my own site, or pics, but I am hoping my experience could help out someone if they are interested.
I have had a hell of a time finding info on other peoples experiences, let alone ‘decompression surgery’ through the internet. My surgery is in 5 days, and I am willing to send before and after pics, and take anyone along on a day by day experience of what I am going through.
I have had GD and TED for 5 years. I am doing this surgery for my family because I have become a completely different person since the onset of this disease, and I just want the best for them. I want to be the outgoing fun mother they deserve.
If anyone is interested please let me know.
Thanks
TracyTracy,
This isn’t the answer you’re looking for because I’ve already had the surgery, but if you want to talk about it or have questions, send me a private message and we’ll figure out a way to do that. In any case, I wish you the best of luck with your surgery. I think you’ll be glad you did it.
Dianne
Dear Tracy,
I will be glad to talk to you as well. Send me a phone number @ "nancyngdf@bellsouth.net", tell me where you live (so I will know what time to call), and I will call you.
Like Dianne, I have already had the surgery, but I am pretty up-to-date on it (that is an understatement, by the way)!
iT’S NOT NEARLY AS BAD AS IT SOUND WHEN YOU ARE READING ABOUT IT. I remember the satement at the bottom,,,:"as with any eye surgery, there is the danger of the loss of sight." Then there was another sentence: "There has never been a patient who has lost their sight in this practice, and as far as we know, no one in the US has done so."
They are now doing these as outpatient procedures. Go home, be in your conmfortable bed (with your cat on your lap), elevate the head of the bed. I only needed real pain pills for two days–then just Tylenol.
Get in touch with me ~
