Hi Emily,
Hang in there!
If you are concerned about ANY symptoms or feelings call your endo for advice or go to your ER. If nothing else it will give you peace of mind. My daughter has GD & we were told if she had any breathing problems or were concerned to get it checked out straight away. I am sure it will just be a bit of a ‘blip’ in your recovery but don’t take any chances with your health, stressing about the symptoms will not do you any good so get intouch with someone who can take a look at you & reassure you.
Take care of yourself,W x
Dear Emily, The shortness of breath and trembling all over could be a serious concen — call your doctor or go to ER — they can check your level on the spot and call your Dr if you need level or med changes — please make sure you are not in thryoid storm or any other life threatening state. Stressing could make it worse. You mention that you will have blood drawn tomorrow and see the doctor on Tues, it sounds like you need it now. Things can change so fast with the disease that sometimes you cannot or should not wait for a doctor’s schedule. Please take care!!
Hi Emily,
I think they could be right – it may be worth while to get it checked out. There is no harm and the A&E can do it on the spot and have your bloods done within an hour.
Please keep us posted.

Having a bad day today…
I’ve been feeling "better", at least what I’d call functional, been on methimazole for 4 weeks. But the last two days have been hard again. My hands and feet are sweaty, having hot flashes, trembling (not just my hands, but my whole body), shortness of breath. I have blood drawn tomoorow and see my endo on Tues – so I’m happy that I’ll know soon how my body is doing. But suddenly that seems too long to wait. I know it takes longer than 4 weeks to rid my body of all the excess hormone that it already made, but I can’t help feeling like I’m getting worse. Then the anxiety kicks in….
Sorry to gripe. WHen I had a bad day yeasterday, I thought I can get through this. I’ll go to bed early and tomorrow will be better. But today is no better so I’m disappointed.
Thanks for reading.
At least it’s sunny here today finally – and wil be warm too. Something to enjoy.
Emily
