    Hello and welcome!
I am not an expert on this and hopefully others will post to help you. I wanted to say that it will take some time to feeling better. If you have a concern and want answers asap call your dr. and ask them.
I know it takes time for things to start changing and I have also read that the body can also "dump"all the excess stuff out of your and you can feel that as well. I’m not sure when that happens and it might be mild for some and extreme for others, again not sure.

I am sure you will get more responses later or tomorrow when others see this. I wish you well and again if you have a concern that is scaring you please call your dr.

This is a great bunch of people here and glad you are with us!

I had my RAI in December and didn’t have any flushing, but was told to pay attention to my heart rate, since as those excess hormones are dumping out of your thyroid, it can create a "rush" that can make your heart rate go up and I was told to increase my beta-blocker dosage if that happened, but luckily I was fine.

I just started on my Synthroid last month, so it took about 4 months for my thyroid to die or be "stunned" for me to go "hypo". I had to go to the doctor every two weeks to get weighed and blood drawn so she could check my TSH levels until I was where she wanted me to be.

Thank you both for the reply. I will watch my weight and am taking my BP and pulse often during the day to make sure I’m not out of bounds on that. My endo wanted to see me a month out. I’ll call sooner if I feel I should. It’s hard to know what is normal anymore at this point.

    Hi,
New to BB. I have just had RAI on Friday last and am having feelings of being flushed but not red faced. Have had Graves for two years. Off all ATM since last July. Wondering if this flushed feeling is from the RAI or from the thyroid hormone already leaving. Am on a Beta Blocker right now 12.5 mg, not a high dose. Anyone willing to give me information on how I will feel and for how long after RAI would be appreciated. I have read many things with many different time lines.

    Thanks
