    I would like to know if anyone know of any support groups for Graves Disease/Thyroid in the DC area. I know a woman who recently attended the formal training required to start such a support group in this area and I’m trying to help her by reaching out on this board to see if there is any interest. If anyone would be interested in a group and would like to come out for coffee just to meet and discuss how best to proceed with starting up a group….please contact me through this board or email me at lmatthews522@verizon.net and type in subject "GRAVES DISEASE IN DC AREA".     Personal info – I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism more than 12 years ago and recently (less than 6 months) Graves Disease.

    We ARE working on it! Let’s hope you get many responses. As you say, we have a trained leader there now–looking for a group to start.

    I wanted to follow up on this (older) thread. I am currently in Baltimore, MD (not too far from DC) and I am also looking for a support group in the area or anyone who would like to connect. I sent an email to Lisa’s email address, but seems like it’s no longer in use.

    @Dr. Patterson – would you know who the trained leader is?
