I’ve had headaches off and on since RAI too. I am thinking it might be the readjusting of the hormone levels and fall allergies. I don’t do as well in the dry heat of winter houses either. I use a sinus irrigator everyday. It seems to keep things moving and puts moisture back in my sinuses. I recently had the flu for several days and the headache that I had with that was every day all day in a different place for 4 days. You might want to try adding some moisture to your house, eat spicy foods and drink some caffeine if you can take it. I also found out that my office is open to an animal facility at work. That probably hasn’t been helping me any either. They are going to fix it someday soon.
Let your doctor know if the headaches get worse or don’t go away with Tylenol.

I think I’m having a related or similar reaction. Not getting headaches like you…but rather throbbing sensation in my face. Must be my BP.
Feels so yuck. I had my RAI Oct. 16.Hi,
I had RAI done on Oct 2nd and since then, I seem to be getting headaches quite often – 3-4/week. Prior to RAI, I never really got headaches.
Are headaches related to elevated T3/T4 – mine initally went down after RAI (11 days after), but have shot up to pre-RAI levels if not even higher (T3 12.0, T4 – 29 >> Canadian #s taken 26 days after RAI). I know from reading other posts (unfortunately didn’t get that from my endo, had to get that info from other sources) that increases in T3/T4 would be related to dumping.
Other than the headaches, and sore throats, for the most part I’ve felt ok after having RAI. The isolation period was lonely, but I seem to have re-gained most of the patience I had lost prior to RAI, and the anxiety has left as well. With my T3/T4 #s rising, I’ve noticed that I’ve been very winded doing even mild exercise – walking our driveway pulling my kids in the wagon behind almost did me in at the incline, but, I just have a hard time driving when it’s 0.5km walk to school.
Anyhow – what I was wondering is, has anyone experienced headaches following RAI? I never really got them before, but now I seem to get them 3-4 times a week. It’s a dull ache that is always there. It goes away with Tylenol – but I would prefer not to take it (I don’t really like taking medicine). The headaches are just there – can’t say they come on after activity/exercise or not.
Thanks!
