Muscle usually comes back once we are at controlled, normal levels of thyroid hormone. It isn’t strong muscle at first: it needs to be exercised wisely to develop strength and stamina. But it does tend to come back.

About me; I began loosing weight from 145 to 135 over a three month period. My appetite increased, heart palpitations, anxiety, sweating and irritability. I was diagnosed with Graves in October and put on Methimizole. I have since had a decrease in appetite, all other symptoms have subsided. My concern is will I gain the 10 lbs that I lost? I lost a lot of muscle mass and my body looks flabby. I can’t exercise until I go back to have labs done in Dec. Any advise would be appreciated. I loved how I looked at 145lbs and am not very happy where I am right now.

    Thanks
