Can’t speak to the goiter issue specifically (though goiter usually represents imbalance, could be hypo, could be hyper, and the logical extension of that would mean that if you are again balanced, the goiter should disappear fairly rapidly).
The patterns with your cycle are classic with thyroid imbalance. Hypothyroid conditions will result in periods that are heavier and closer together, hyperthyroid conditions will result in lighter periods that are further apart. It can be one way to spot potential imbalances ~ if you get to a point where you are having variations one way and the other month to month, that’s more likely something else (like perimenopause), but if you have consistently lighter periods that happen further apart, that can be a signal to get tested. Right now you’re in a pretty "turbulent" time, so things may go a little bit back & forth ~ really, I gotta hand it to your boyfriend for keeping track! He can be very helpful with that information! ” title=”Very Happy” />
Ever since my hubby and I have been together, he keeps track of my period. Yeah, I know it sounds weird, but he is totally Type A. ” title=”Smile” />
He has found in tracking my period that when I go "hypo" my period comes sooner and when I’m hyper it comes later. I had RAI done Nov.6th. My last cycle was 36 days. Today I started on day 29, and ALL the hyper symptoms are gone. Literally within a couple days.
Ironically, the goiter also LITERALLY disappeared 2 days ago. Seriously, last weekend…I could rub my hand over it and it felt like a golf ball..now it is flat. How did it "deflate" so fast?
Has anyone here experinced what I’m talking about with their cycle?
Goiter deflating within a couple days?
Sorry for the weird questions……Maybe this is my turning point?
just saying hi and it’s not weird that he watches for your period…..
He is secretly watching for you being pissy! LOLHmmmm Hyperm is due to have period in 7 days OK… note to self..don’t make wife angry for next 7 days….
Hmmmm Hyperm is having period so don’t talk about her entire body good or bad because it wont end well either way till like day 9.
Hmmmm Hyperm is going to ovulate on day 14 and I’ll be home ” title=”Wink” /> ” title=”Wink” /> ” title=”Wink” /> Hmmmmm maybe I could…(censor this part!)
ROFL!!! Ok yep I’m sure Hyperm’s coffee is all over the computer now after spitting it out!
Hope I made ya laugh!my dh knows my period as well. It shows they care and are very intuned with when we are cranky and when we aren’t. means they us better than we do.
my dh can smell my skin and know it, then he runs away and says to my oldest son… save yourself boy! LOLHope you are doing well!
mamabear, you are too funny!
yeah…he is probably trying to watch my mood rather than the thyroid..Although he would never admit it….lolololol
Hi,
Well I had my RAI on Friday and so far I am feeling well.Enough3, how is everything going with you. I have been following your posts because you received treatment in November. How is your weight,
and how are you feeling? The radiologist stated that should start to feel hyper around the third or fourth week. So if that happens, I have
an appointment with my endo just about that time. How long did you stay away from your children? I remember you saying that you went out of town for two and a half days, but after that, how long
was it before you could hug them. As I have told you, I have eight grandchildren, and the radiologist said that I should be away from them for
about seven days. I decided on ten, but I am wondering if that is long enough not to hold them, two are under two years old, and I am suppose to
babysit on the twenty-first of this month, and I do not want to take any chances.I would appreciate any input on this. By the way I had 10 mlc. of the radio-iodine.
Thanks,
Susan -
