If you suspect that your thyroid levels are out-of-whack, please call your doctor on Monday and schedule an appointment/blood test. If nothing is wrong, so much the better. But if your levels are off, catching it sooner, rather than later, is extremely important.

My methimazole was d/c a bit over 3 months ago.

Since Wednesday, the leg muscle weakness has been back; it was quite marked yesterday. Maybe it’s stress; I don’t know.

I had a rough winter, healthwise — it took me nearly 2 months to get the fibroid issue resolved; took me 5 different docs and only one recommended 2 specific tests. It was pretty dicey and scary; he wound up doing a biopsy and I had to wait a week for the lab to come back with a report.

It amazes me still up until now: how is it that only one gyn does 2 tests — and the rest of them were more concerned with a pap and a pair of boobs than my other problem.
