THERE ARE MANY GOOD WEBSITES TO EXPLAIN THIS, IF YOU CARE TO LOOK.
YOUR PHARMACIST IS A GREAT RESOURCE, BUT I HAVE FOUND SOMETIMES THEY DON’ T ADDRESS THE FOLLOWING ADVICE
BECAUSE OF THE WAY THYROID HORMONE IS ABSORBED IN YOUR BODY, THERE ARE TWO FIRM RULES YOU SHOULD FOLLOW, OTHERWISE, YOUR LAB RESULTS CANNOT BE TRUSTED. CONSISTENCY OF SCHEDULE IS IMPORTANT, IF POSSIBLE. IT HAS TAKE A LOT OF DISCIPLINE FOR ME TO FINALLY DO THE FOLLOWING TWO THINGS. BUT I DO.

    1. TAKE IT IN THE MORNING, WITH A GLASS OF WATER.
    2. DO NOT EAT FOR AT LEAST 1/2 HOUR
    3. DO NOT TAKE SUPPLEMENTS, ANTACIDS, FOR AT LEAST FOUR HOURS.

This was just reviewed very nicely by Bobbi, with more rationale for the reasons, under the topic WILL THIS EVER SETTLE?
Other facilitators have mentioned it other times, but I thought this needed a new topic header, so more people can read it.
I hope they weigh in with anything that I forgot.

IF want to read about other meds that can make a difference, rx.com/thyroid has a big list. But if we do the above regimen, then the whole deal is a non-issue.
