Hello, I did put eyelid in the search engine, but decided to begin a new post.
I would like to hear about your experiences, good and bad. Did you go to a few surgeons before you made a decision?
How long did you wait after your eye muscle (strabismus) surgery? Did you go to a plastic surgeon?
What are the outcomes? Have you had to repeat the procedure? What is the post op recovery like?

I have written fairly detailed posts of my experience with OD and with my very recent eye muscle surgeries. Hope they help others when they are ready for those surgeries.

I’ve inquired with many surgeons in the past before actually going under the knife. My advice? Don’t go with JUST ANY SURGEON. Look at their credentials, ask former patients and don’t go to them if you feel uncomfortable in any way, shape or form. Of course, this pretty much goes for any type of surgery. When I finally found the most reliable surgeon, I took the plunge and I’ve been very grateful ever since. Having patience is a gift! I mean this with complete sincerity.

What part of the country do you live? I am in Seattle. My insurance does give me the opportunity to go to several surgeons. I went to three before I had my OD, which was during the active phase, for I began to have optic neuropathy and was losing my vision. Each doc had a totally different approach to the OD. Absolutely different surgeries. I imagine the same thing will be true of eyelid surgery.
and…did you have eyelid surgery? If so, I would love to hear about your post op recovery period.
