Just wondering if liver damage is/can be associated with Grave’s in any way? Or RAI? I have never been on the other anti-thyroid meds, diagnosed with Graves in August and had RAI on October 1st. In the last month, my liver enzymes have gone severely high. I am waiting for my last blood work to come back before being sent to a GI or liver doctor, but in the meantime, it just has me wondering. Odd to me that I would go from healthy to Grave’s and now with high liver enzymes (under 45 is normal, mine was 150 and then 1,500), so it has me wondering if it could be related. Anyone have any experience with this? Just curious.
    Thanks!

Hello – I have heard of several cases where patients had elevated liver enzymes while they were hypER…and then things returned to normal once their thyroid levels were stabilized.

You will definitely want to discuss this a medical professional. It might just be a “wait and see” situation to see if this resolves once you are no longer hypER…but this is definitely something that a doctor should keep an eye on.
