The next meeting for the Arizona Support Group will be held on Saturday, March 19th from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Scottsdale Public Library’s Mustang branch book discussion room, 10101 N. 90 St., Scottsdale, AZ 85258.

Featured speaker Dr. John A. Ebner of Arizona Skin & Laser Therapy Institute will present on "Pretibial Myxedema: An Unusual Skin Finding in Graves’ Disease."

Pretibial Myxedema is a skin complication that can occur with Graves’ Disease. It is sometimes referred to as "Thyroid Dermopathy" or "Graves’ Dermopathy" and is characterized by lesions on the front of the shin with an "orange peel" appearance.

Fortunately, skin involvement is rare for Graves’ patients, but if you are in the area, this presentation is definitely worth checking out!
