I would recommend contacting the Shiley Eye Center in San Diego, they’ve spoken at many of our conferences and have some excellent photos for Thyroid Eye Disease. Let me think about the others, I’m sure someone at the GDF can connect you with someone.

    Hello,

Having gone through Graves’ disease myself, I have put a lot of effort into improving the Wikipedia article on Graves disease (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graves%27_disease).

I’m looking for pictures of thyroid eye disease (before and/or after surgery pictures), goiter, pretibial myxedema, … (any pictures related to Graves’ disease) to improve the article further.

Do you happen to have some pictures, and can you give the permission to use them in the article?

    Thanks!

PS: if you don’t have any pictures, you can also let somebody you know take a photo of your goiter, eyes, face,… You can anonymise the picture, or ask me to do it, if you want that.

PS 2: How do you like the Graves’ disease article? Feedback appreciated!

Oh, and kudos for updating the Wikipedia page!! GREAT information, at least what I’ve read so far ~ I got about a third of the way through, and adding that to a full day’s work, my brain is full. <img decoding=” title=”Very Happy” /> I’ve bookmarked it so I can go back and finish. Really good work. Thank you for the attention you’re putting into it!

    Hey Ski,

thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, I can’t find an email adress on the Shiley Eye Center webpage.

As for the Wikipedia article: I noticed many people (as myself) having the same questions, question to which many physicians didn’t have informative replies. After years of research, I accumulated a lot of information that actually adressed those very (important) questions, so I decided to work on the Wikipedia article, which is the cheapest and most efficient way of getting the info out there, where it is needed.

The most important sections of the article are the following three:
    Symptoms and signs:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Symptoms_a … 27_disease
    Prognosis:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graves_disease#Prognosis
Coping with Graves’ disease & the patient-physician relationship:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graves_dis … lationship

Anyway, thanks for everything, the stories on this forum helped me a lot in dealing with the Graves (that’s why I added a link to ngdf.org at the bottom of the article! <img decoding=” title=”Wink” />
